Community Gathering: Improving Navigation for Care Partners

You are invited to a small community gathering for people who care for someone with dementia, and for people living with dementia.
Recently, local community members shared their experiences of caring for someone with dementia for a research project led by Dr. Gwen McGhan and Dr. Deirdre McCaughey at the University of Calgary.
Caregivers said that one of their biggest challenges is "system navigation" – knowing where to find the right supports and services, when they need them.
Dementia Network Calgary wants to make sure that your experiences are shared with those who can take action to change things for the better.
Join us for a community gathering where you will:
- provide feedback on Drs. McGhan and McCaughey's findings about caregiver challenges
- learn from a community-based organization which has implemented better "system navigation" for seniors and dementia care partners
- provide your input and ideas on how we use this research to take action to make life better for people living with dementia and their care partners.
Your insight and knowledge as a person living with dementia, or as a care partner, are invaluable. Join us for an afternoon of sharing and community.
Complimentary tea, coffee, and light snacks will be served.
